You've got to be kidding-and i'm a huge fan! - X-Men: The Last Stand Reviews

OK SPOILERS, DON'T read if you don't want to know I grew up watching the orginal cartoon version of the x-men in the late 80's, even read a couple of the comics and well.........the actions of some of the chars in the film is horrid....Rogue who when I was little gave new meaning to girl power and was my hero in this movie(which I barely forgave them for making her a darn teen in the movie series in the first place) actually willingly GIVES up her power cause she is afaird of losing her boyfriend! I will say they finally made Storm more of the leader she is suppose to be, but what was with putting her in two fights with the same black chick(another mutant)....what is it just cool to see Halle Berry fight another decent black chick??? Wolverine was great just because LOL, no he really was great, they played his card right. SPOILER directly below Scott died....now he was never my fav even back in the day, but I respected him and the way he died was....pointless, he wasn't even fighting, and the few other minutes he had in the film had him crying and weeping over Jean like a little punk. Magneto(is that spelled right LOL) was excellent in everything, from his role to his personality in the movie. two other X-men died, two HUGE main people, one I will say is Jean....now they played the Pheonix angle horrible, they took something that gave life to the x-men comics and cartoons and made it more like a mindless spoiled child who couldn't have her way, or a mental patient with powers on a rampage. They could have done so much more with it. The last person...well I won't say, and I will says they are not really dead, which is the only saving grace for this movie. Now, the theme of the movie was slow, and very little fighting until the last 15 mins, There were some good visuals, it was weighted down by the supposed political jargan of the plot. THere was no substance to the movie, it really did feel like they peiced together good scenes of 3 different movies they were trying to make. If they make more movies as they hinted at, When I buy the collection I really do think I will just skip number 3 and you should too, rent it on video so you can be disgusted in the comfort of your own home, and only pay 3 bucks instead of the 11 I paid...and that's not even including the slushy I bought.
