The truth! it's crapovision at it's finest! - X-Men: The Last Stand Reviews

The movie starts out with Professor X and Magneto visiting Jean Grey for the first time. The director gave a 70's look and feel to the introduction. After that it's all down hill. Jean Grey comes back from the dead, but she is caught between her personallity and the Dark Pheonix persona that has been dormant for most of her life. Needless to say, she kills Cyclops within the first 10 minutes of the movie. Professor X confronts her and dies about 20 minutes later in her childhood home. I can't hardly even bring myself to write the spoilers for it, because it SUCKED so bad! The special effects all looked like they were done in the 30's. Think of the original King Kong and Godzilla movies! The look and feel of the movie reminded me of a cheesy 70's invaders from mars type movie. They kill off or nutralize the powers of almost every major mutant, both the X-Man and the Brotherhood. The new characters get almost no screen time, except Beast. The hole movie sets you up for a 15 minute fight at the end that sucked as well. I couldn't recommend this movie even if you had free tickets. I know the background of the characters and own both of the first 2 movies. I thought the 2nd was better than the first, but if anyone thinks this is anywhere close to X1 or X2, then they have no clue what a good movie is. Don't waste your money.
